Lensbaby has announced a new wide-angle tilt lens, introducing the Edge 35mm Optic for Canon EF, Nikon F, Sony E, Fuji X and Micro Four Thirds mounts.

The third lens in Lensbaby’s Optic Swap range, the Edge 35mm joins the 50mm and 80mm Optic lenses and works with Lensbaby’s Composer Pro and Pro II adapter.

The Lensbaby Composer Pro II swivels and tilts on a smooth metal ball and socket design, allowing users to swap between traditional lenses and tilt-shift optics.

Tilting the lens up or down creates a horizontal slice of focus; left or right a vertical slice; or diagonally for a diagonal slice. After setting the tilt, rotating the focus ring moves that slice of focus through the image, from one side of the frame to the other.

The new Edge 35mm Optic boasts an eight-blade aperture and can tilt 15 degrees. It offers apertures from f/3.5 to f/22 and can focus from 7 inches from the front element to infinity.

The Lensbaby Edge 35mm Optic price tag will be $449.95; or if you already own a Composer, you can buy the optic itself for $249.95. A release date is set for April.
