Leica has launched a new SF 60 flash unit and SF C1 remote control for use with its S, SL, CL, Q and M systems.

The Leica SF 60 measures just 98mm and weighs 300g, yet offers a guide number of 60. Other features include TTL flash, HSS to 1/8000sec and master/slave capability.

The SF 60 also boasts a zoom reflector, integrated diffuser and reflector card and a flash head with tilt and swivel functionality.

Videographers can also use the SF 60 as a constant LED light source, which is adjustable in nine steps.

The Leica SF C1 remote control unit mounts on to your hot shoe and can control SF 60 flash units in up to seven channels, each with three groups.

Leica says the SF C1 can provide around 3,000 exposures from its two AAA batteries, and it also boasts a microSD card slot for firmware updates.

The Leica SF 60 is priced £450, while the SF C1 price tag is £250.
