Leica Q-P announced

News

Leica has announced the Q-P – price tag $4,995 – a new full-frame compact camera that is designed for discreet candid photography.

The Leica Q-P follows the Q and employs a 24-megapixel full-frame sensor along with a fixed Summilux 28mm f/1.7 ASPH lens.

There’s also a 3.68-megapixel electronic viewfinder, as well as built-in WiFi for remote control and transfer of your images using the new Leica FOTOS app.

The Leica Q-P comes in a simple, all-black body with what Leica says is improved tactility. Like other recent cameras, Leica has removed the red dot logo on the front in favour of the company’s script engraving on the top plate.

Leica says it has also redesigned the shutter release button and power switch/drive mode selector to bring them in line with the Leica M10 and Leica CL.

The Leica Q-P will cost $4,995 and is available now at Leica Stores and dealers.
