Leica has announced an updated version of its classic Noctilux-M 50 f/1.2 ASPH lens, with a price tag set for £6,500 / $7,695.
Originally launched more than 50 years ago, the Noctilux-M 50 f/1.2 was the world’s first lens with aspherical elements and boasts an ultra-fast aperture for shooting in low light conditions.
Leica says its construction is nearly identical to the original and provides similar results.
The Noctilux-M 50 f/1.2 is available in silver and black-anodised versions.
The Noctilux-M 50 f/1.2 ASPH is the third lens in the Leica Classic range, joining the previous reissues of the Summaron-M 28 f/5.6 of 1955 and the Thambar-M 90 f/2.2 of 1935.
You can buy the new Leica lens at Leica Stores and authorised dealers.
