Leica has announced the APO-Summicron-M 35 f/2 ASPH lens, price tag £6,700, the latest addition to its M series.
The Leica APO-Summicron-M 35 f/2 ASPH offers a close focusing distance of just 30cm along with a fast f/2 aperture.
The APO-Summicron-M 35 f/2 ASPH is comprised of 10 lens elements in five groups, three of which feature aspherical surfaces. Six elements are made of glass with anomalous partial dispersion to help reduce chromatic aberrations.
At distances between 70cm and 30cm, users can optionally focus via the camera’s display screen in Live View mode, the Visoflex electronic viewfinder or the Leica FOTOS app.
The compact, lightweight prime lens can be used on cameras such as the Leica SL2 and SL2-S.
