Time is running out to submit your entries to the Travel Photographer of the Year 2016 competition, as the 1 October deadline is just weeks away.

This year’s Travel Photographer of the Year competition features three portfolio categories, three ‘One Shot ‘ single image categories, a ‘Smart Shot’ category for images taken on a mobile phone or tablet, Young Travel Photographer of the Year, a ‘New Talent’ award and an HD video category.

Sponsors of the competition have contributed to an overall prize fund of £30,000. The overall Travel Photographer of the Year 2016 winner will take home £4,000, a selection of StaaG luxury leather travel goods and sterling silver accessories (worth over £1250), £500 to spend on the Páramo clothing of their choice, and a Plastic Sandwich personalized leather portfolio case.

Category prizes include X-Series Fuji cameras and lenses, winter or summer voyages for two people along Norway’s stunning coastline with Hurtigruten, Torres Insulator or Halcon Traveller jackets from Páramo, luxury leather travel goods from StaaG, personalized leather portfolio cases from Plastic Sandwich, Photo Iconic tuition, destination app guides from SNAPP Guides, cash prizes, and giclée exhibition prints from Genesis Imaging.

What’s more, winning entrants will see their work displayed at in exhibitions around the UK, including one at the University of Greenwich in London, which will then travel around the world.

Entries can be submitted via the Travel Photographer of the Year website, or as prints. Entry fees are £8.00 for the single image categories, £15 for portfolios, New Talent and HD Video categories. Entry for Young TPOTY is free.
