Kenro launches new range of ball heads and tripods

Kenro Tripod Range
News

Kenro has announced four new tripod kits along with six ball heads, which cover all bases from those looking for a solid all-rounder such as the KENTRA401 to the lightweight travel carbon KENTR104C.

The new range looks like a solid preposition with no cheap entry level version showing that Kenro are serious about the quality of their new tripods, they’re even offering a 6-year limited warranty.

Karoo Standard Travel Tripod Kit

The first tripod is the Karoo Standard Travel Tripod Kit (KENTR104C), a carbon tripod designed to be light weight and sturdy. The legs are made from eight layer carbon fibre and finished with aluminium alloy castings to keep the weight down.

At just 1.44kg it’s the perfect solution for those looking for a travel tripod and will carry up to 8kg of weight, and has a maximum working height is 163.5cm and minimum of 22cm.

The carbon legs are four-section with twist-locks securing the legs. To keep the packed down size as small as possible the legs fold back 180 degrees when not in use. The packed size is just 46.5cm long.

As is becoming increasingly common, the tripod has a dual use with one removable leg that can be used as a monopod. The ball head from the tripod can be quickly transferred giving a working height of 173.5cm.

The kit features the Kenro BC1 ball head with quick release plate (Arca Swiss-style) and built-in spirit level along with a carry case with shoulder strap. Its price tag will be £221.94 inc VAT.

Karoo Ultimate Travel Tripod Kit

The Karoo Ultimate Travel Tripod Kit (KENTR401) is heavier weight affair and is manufactured from aluminium alloy with a weight of 2.15kg. The extra weight reflects the maximum load capacity which is up to 10kg.

As with the Karoo Standard Travel Tripod Kit one leg can be used as a monopod with a max height 176.5cm

The kit features the Kenro BB2 ball head with quick release plate (Arca Swiss-style) and built-in spirit level along with a carry case with shoulder strap. Its price tag will be£215.94 plus VAT.

As well as the aluminium version the Karoo Ultimate Travel Tripod Kit is available as a carbon fibre version which features an upgraded triple action fluid ball head (BC2). The removable leg design also gives a little more height than the aluminium version at 177.5cm.

Weight is reduced at just 1.93kg and matches the 10kg maximum load capacity.

The KENTR401C has an SRP of £281.94 inc VAT.

KENTR501C Tripod Kit

If you need something a little more heavy duty then theres the KENTR501C Tripod Kit. This has a maximum load capacity of 14kg making it an ideal for those using high end and professional SLRs. Maximum working height is 168cm.

Again this tripod features twist-lock legs, with one that detaches so it can be used as a monopod with a working height of 174cm including the ball head.

This kit features the new BC3 triple-action ball head with spirit level and quick-release Arca Swiss-style plate.

The kit features a quality carry case and shoulder strap and has an SRP of £395.94 inc VAT.
