Joby has announced a new PodZilla range of flexible tripods, price tag from $39.95, with fully articulated legs designed for capturing content on uneven terrain.
Similar to its popular GorillaPod line, the PodZilla tripods are an all new range that feature a lightweight aluminium core covered in a rubber outer layer. Each PodZilla tripod leg is fully articulated, allowing users to wrap it around objects and bend it to fit wherever or whatever they’re shooting.
PodZilla comes in two sizes, medium and large. The medium PodZilla can support a 1kg payload and includes a 1/4-inch tripod mount as well as a phone clamp and double cold shoe attachment. The tripod uses a ball head and measures 4.8 x 5.4 x 25cm.
The large PodZilla supports a 2.5kg payload and measures 5.5 x 7.3 x 31.5cm. It uses the same standard tripod mount and ball head, but also incorporates a built-in spirit level and comes with a quick release plate.
The PodZilla price tag for the large version is $39.95, or $49.95 with the phone clamp, and the medium PodZilla price tag is priced $39.95.
