January 2019 Photo Competition Winner Announcement

News

Where did February go?

It’s flown by and somehow we didn’t announce the winner of the January round of our monthly photography competition. Sorry about that!

The theme was winter and there were some really spectacular entries. We saw images showing everything from Durdle Door in the snow to rain-soaked ducks. However, it was the subtle tones of the winning image that captivated us the most.

The winner is….

David Queenan (@davidqueenan on Twitter) with this wonderful shot of a frosted fallen tree.

January 2019 Photo Competition Winner Announcement

David wins a Samsung 256GB EVO Plus microSD memory card with SD adaptor worth £74.99. And at the end of the year, his image will be judged against the other winning entries to decide the overall winner of the title Camera Jabber Photographer of the Year.

The overall winner will receive a fantastic 500GB Samsung SSD T5 portable storage unit worth £121.

The Next Round

The theme for February is pets. That round finishes at midnight tonight, so you still have a few hours to enter. You can do so via Twitter, Instagram or Facebook. You just need to tag your images @camerajabber and #petjabber.

We’ll announce the theme for March at midnight tonight. And then in a few days, we’ll reveal the winner of the February round. We promise to be quicker this time!

About the prizes

The Samsung 256GB EVO Plus microSD card with SD adaptor is a UHS-I U3 Class 10 memory card, that is 4K compatible and can be used in cameras and other devices that accept either a microSD or an SD card.
