Swiss lens maker Irix has announced that all of its Canon EF mount lenses are now fully compatible with the EOS R mount when using Canon’s EF to EOS R adapter.
In a statement posted on its website, Irix says that with the updates it is now ‘possible to control the aperture from the camera’ on all of the EF mount lenses in its current line-up.
What’s more, when using the EF to R mount adapter, ‘information about the distance transmitted to which the lens is focused’ as well as all metadata and EXIF information is saved as well.
The current Irix lenses that are available in Canon EF mount are the Irix 11mm f/4, 15mm f/2.4 and 150mm f/2.8 1:1 Macro.
