Instagram has announced a revamp of its live broadcasts which now allows users to save public live videos to their Instagram Stories for 24 hours.
This means your followers can still view and share your content even if they miss your live broadcast.
Instagram Stories now claims more than 250 million users each day, which the Facebook-owned social network must believe it can grow even further with the new 24-hour live video saving option.
How to save an Instagram Live video
- When your live video ends, a ‘Share’ option will appear at the bottom of your screen.
- Simply tap this and your broadcast will be available in your Stories for 24 hours.
- Your followers will then see a little video playback icon over your avatar in their Instagram feed.
- Total views on your saved Instagram Live videos will include both the number of followers who watched it live, as well as those who watched the replay.
When viewing the saved Instagram Live videos, simply tap the right of the screen to fast forward or the left to rewind.
