Insta360 has officially launched its ‘gimbal killer’ FlowState stabilisation as an update to its Insta360 Studio software.

The software, which is available for both Windows and Mac, can produce video that is smoother than smartphones when mounted on a gimbal, Insta360 claimed when it announced the development back in March.

The company released some videos, such as the one below, that literally walked the walk to back up that talk.

Insta360 says the addition of FlowState as well as an upgrade to its companion app also makes it easier for users to create hyperlapse videos. Users can ‘run and gun’ and then stabilise their footage later.
