Insta360 has released a new software update for its ONE X 360 camera, which adds the additional features of HDR video and Google Street View integration.

The update makes the Insta360 ONE X the first action camera to offer built-in HDR video capture, the company says.

The ONE X’s new HDR video mode shoots 5.7K at 25fps. Here is a short comparison Insta360 released showing its effects.

The new Google Maps capture mode allows ONE X users to shoot 360 videos and upload them directly to Google Street View via the Insta360 ONE X app.

These videos will then be automatically converted in photo spheres that are viewable in Street View.

The free software update (version 1.1) is available now.
