Insta360 has announced a new wearable video camera, the Insta360 GO, price tag $199.99, which offers built-in stabilisation, auto editing and different effects modes.

Weighing just over 18g, the Insta360 GO weighs less than a fun size Snickers bar and can clip, hang or be tagged to your body or anything else you want to mount it to. Its body is also magnetic.

To shoot video, press the GO’s shutter button once and it will record a clip for up to 30secs. Press the shutter button again to stop recording.

Insta360 has incorporated its FlowState stabilisation technology into the GO to facilitate smooth footage, and the GO also promises simplicity post-capture with a new AI-driven FlashCut auto editing tool.

FlashCut uses Insta360’s AI algorithm to analyse your clips and combine them into an edit with music. It can also sort your content based on themes or even the quality of the composition.

Using the new GO app, you’ll also have the option to take more control over the editing and adjust things such as transitions, colours and playback speed.

Other features include Hyperlapse and Timelapse modes, as well as a Barrel Roll option that lets you twist your shots. The GO also supports shooting at 100fps to create slow motion movies.

It comes with a Charge Case, which gives it enough juice for about 200 clips per day. You also get a Magnet Pendant, Pivot Stand, Easy Clip and Sticky Base.

You can buy the Insta360 GO from the company’s website or from retailers such as Adorama, B&H Photo Video and Wex Photo Video.
