The HTC U11 is now available for pre-orders with a version offering twice the storage space at 128GB.

The squeezable smartphone is HTC’s new flagship model and is priced at £699, with a release date set for this month.

HTC Club members will be entitled to a 10% discount on the new handset, meaning they can pick up it up for only £629.10.

The HTC U11 boasts dual SIM card slots and 6GB of RAM and is DxOMark’s current leading camera phone in terms of image quality.

It features a large (1/2.55-inch) backside illuminated (BSI) sensor that has 12 million pixels, phase detection autofocusing (PDAF), multi-axis optical stabilisation, 4K video capability and an aperture of f/1.7, the HTC U11 is an attractive proposition.

What’s more, its Pro mode should appeal to photographers, which supports raw capture and offers control over settings such as white balance, exposure compensation, ISO, shutter speed (32-1/8000sec) and focus.

Its biggest headline-grabbing feature, though, is its Edge Sense technology which allows you to activate the camera by squeezing the side of the phone. You can also squeeze again to take a photo.

In our HTC U11 camera review we found that its feature set and performance really stand out in a crowded market place.
