Hasselblad X1D firmware update adds resizable AF points, 1/10,000sec shutter speed

UK photographers: get hands-on with the Hasselblad X1D!

Hasselblad has released firmware version 1.17.2 for the medium format X1D that adds an electronic shutter function and resizable autofocus points.

With firmware version 1.17.2 the Hasselblad X1D now boasts three sizes of AF points, offering 35, 63 or 117 points with each setting.

Users can swap between sizes by holding down the X1D’s AF/MF button and pressing the display [] button to cycle through them.

Hasselblad X1D firmware version 1.17.2 also adds a new electronic shutter capability offering shutter speeds up to 1/10,000sec, which is also silent.
