Hasselblad has cut the X1D-50c price tag nearly in half, reducing it from €8,500 down to €4,999, sparking rumours of an X1D-100c announcement.
The X1D price reduction was spotted at The Netherlands’ Kamera Express, and marks such a big price drop that some have speculated it could mean Hasselblad will announce an X1D-50c replacement before long.
With Photokina looming on the horizon, a show at which manufacturers tend to launch their biggest products of the year, it would seem entirely possible.
Mirrorless Rumors suggests a medium format Hasselblad X1D-100c spec sheet could include:
- New 44x33mm 100MP Backilluminated Sony sensor
- On sensor phase detection pixels for faster autofocus
- ISO range 50-6400
- Dynamic range 83dB
- 4K video at 30fps
