Stabilise your world with the GoPro Karma

GoPro Karma Grip
News

Earlier this year GoPro announced the hotly anticipated Karma drone, this latest drone was one of a new generation designed, as with the GoPro cameras to be taken anywhere. Not only was it smaller than many other drones such as the DJI Phantom 4, but it also featured the GoPro Karma stabiliser grip.

It seems an obvious step for the company to now announce that the grip will be on sale as a standalone product at £249, this price puts it inline with rivals DJI with their OSMO.
The grip is designed for use with the GoPro Hero5 and Hero 4 cameras and the 3-axis stabilisation enables you to shoot smooth fluid footage handheld.

“Karma Grip makes it easy for anyone to capture shake-free, Hollywood-calibre video that is nothing short of stunning,” said Nicholas Woodman, founder and CEO of GoPro. “Whether you’re holding it in your hand as you chase your kids around the house or wearing it on your chest as you ski, hike or bike, Karma Grip makes ordinary shots look extraordinary.”

Once attached to the GoPro Hero5 Black, Hero4 Black or Silver the grip enables you to take full control with direct function buttons to start and stop recording, HiLight tag, as well as motion features such as on-the-fly angle adjustment and lock-and-release to tilt. At present the grip doesn’t support the GoPro Hero Session cameras but the company has said that they’re aiming to release an update, presumably through firmware, at sometime in the second quarter of 2017.

Unlike other stabiliser grips already available the Karma grip is fully compatible with GoPro’s Chest harness, Seeker backpack and many other GoPro accessories. For more details check out the Karma at the GoPro website
