GoPro’s as-yet unreleased 360 VR camera, the GoPro Fusion, is taking another step towards (virtual) reality as it begins a trial campaign with a select group of broadcasters and partners.

Among the broadcasters who will begin using the GoPro Fusion are Getty Images, AccuWeather, Digital Domain, Legend 3D, Rapid VR and RYOT.

Other pilot program partners who will begin using the Gopro 360 VR camera are Fox Sports and USA Today, as well as the Golden State Warriors basketball team.

GoPro says it selected its pilot program partners based on their previous experience using 360 cameras to convey stories.

Below is one of the first examples of the GoPro Fusion pilot program, which shows 360-degree footage of the Golden State Warriors NBA championship parade earlier this summer.
