Gitzo and Sony have teamed up to launch the Traveler α Tripod and the L-Bracket α, a new tripod and L bracket designed specifically for use with Sony’s A series cameras.
The Traveler α Tripod is a premium travel tripod made of carbon fibre that weighs just 1.43kg and holds a maximum payload of 10kg / 22lbs. The Traveler α also extends to 165cm and folds down to just 43cm.
The Traveler α Tripod’s legs are made of Carbon eXact tubing and employ Gitzo’s Traveler G-lock system for locking the legs at your desired height.
Other features include a pan/tilt lock, carbon fibre tripod head and leather carry strap.
The L-Bracket α is the ‘lightest of its kind on the market,’ according to Gitzo and weighs just 77g. Made of aluminium, it features four attachment points for camera straps and the design accommodates the A-series cameras’ ports and cables.

The Gitzo Traveler α Tripod price tag will be $999.99, while the L-Bracket α price tag will be $199.99. Both are available for purchase now.
