Fujifilm X-T3 to get major AF improvements in April firmware update

News

Fujifilm has announced it will roll out a significant firmware update for the X-T3 in April that will make improvements to its Eye AF function, as well as introduce faster AF tracking and face detection.

The X-T3 firmware update will also provide quicker touch operation, the company says.

Fujifilm made the announcement at its X Summit event in Dubai where it also discussed other ambitions with members of the audience.

In particular, the company talked about future concepts for its medium format GFX series cameras, showing off an SLR-styled body and a modular design concept that could potentially be mounted to a drone.

Discussing future firmware updates, Fujifilm asked the audience what it would like to see. Among the responses were in-camera time-lapse capability, live preview long exposure, 1080/240p high-speed video and focus bracketing.

Fuji Addict has detailed notes of the event, which you can watch in full at the video below.
