After a week of leaks and rumours, Fujifilm has officially announced the 24.2-megapixel X-T100, price tag £619 with a release date set for late June.

Employing some of the familiar retro designs from Fujifilm’s X-T range of cameras, the entry-level X-T100 offers three control dials on its top plate and is compatible with Fujifilm’s X Mount lenses.

Along with its 24.2-million-pixel APS-C CMOS sensor the X-T100 offers Fujifilm’s Intelligent Hybrid AF system, which boasts phase detection pixels and a newly developed algorithm.

A revamped SR+ Auto mode combines subject and scene recognition, and the Fuji X-T100 also introduces Bluetooth capability. Via it’s Bluetooth function, the X-T100 is also compatible with Fuji’s Instax SP-3 printer.

4K video recording is possible at 15p, while Full HD video can be recorded at 50/24p. There’s also a High Speed Movie mode for making slow-motion videos.

With the mechanical shutter the Fuji X-T100 can shoot at speeds from 30secs to 1/4000sec. Switching to the electronic shutter you can achieve shutter speeds down to 1/32,000sec. The new Fuji camera can also shoot 6fps in continuous shooting mode.

Other Fuji X-T100 features include a three-way tilting LCD screen, 11 Film Simulation Modes, 17 Advanced Filters and a 2,360K-dot OLED EVF.

The Fuji X-T100 will be available in Dark Silver, Black and Champagne Gold upon its release date in June.

The Fuji X-T100 price tag of £619 will also include the XC 15-45mm zoom lens.
