Fujifilm suggests no more 1-inch sensor cameras, ‘market is overcrowded’

News

Fujifilm is unlikely to ever release a successor to its X30, according to brand representatives who say the market for 1-inch sensor cameras is ‘overcrowded’.

Fuji Rumors reports that in a recent live stream by The Camera Store TV, Billy from the Fuji Guys (a YouTube channel run by Fujifilm Canada) was active in the comments.

When someone in the live stream’s comments asked about a new Fujifilm 1-inch sensor camera, Billy answered that ‘the 1-inch market is overcrowded.’

Which suggests that a Fujifilm X40 isn’t likely on the cards any time soon, and more than likely the X30 will be the last in its line.
