Fujifilm has filed a patent for a touchscreen LCD panel that would sit on the camera’s top plate, according to documents discovered online.
Designed to prevent you from accidentally turning the camera’s command dial, the touchscreen panel would only activate your command dial when pressed.
If your finger isn’t on the touch-sensitive panel, the dial will not change modes.
It’s said that this technology would be designed for smaller Fujifilm cameras and streamline their operation, making it easier to lock in your exposure settings.
