Fujifilm has announced the latest version of its all-weather, all-conditions ‘tough’ camera, introducing the Fuji XP140, price tag £179.

Fujifilm’s latest tough camera is waterproof to 25m (a 125% improvemet on the XP130), dustproof, shockproof to 1.8mm and freezeproof down to -10C.

The Fuji XP140 is now capable of recording 4K video and boasts a 16.4-megapixel back-illuminated CMOS sensor, along with a new processor.

Also on-board is a 5x optical image stabilised zoom lens starting from 28mm, which can be doubled to 10x using Fujifilm’s Intelligent Digital Zoom technology.

The XP140 also has a maximum sensitivity of ISO 12,800 (one stop higher than its predecessor) to produce sharp low noise images even in poor light conditions.

There’s also a new Eye Detection feature to aid portraits and revamped Scene Recognition Auto mode, as well as 17 filters for your images.

Other features include built-in Bluetooth technology. The Fuji XP140 comes in four colours: Lime, Yellow, Graphite and and Sky Blue, with a release date set for March 2019.
