Fujifilm launches Instax Mini Link wireless smartphone printer

News

Fujifilm has announced the Instax Mini Link, a new compact instant printer designed to make Instax-style prints of your smartphone photos.

The Instax Mini Link uses a Bluetooth connection to connect to your phone via a Mini Link, which accesses your phone’s camera roll.

Fujifilm says the Instax Mini Link takes just 12 seconds to transfer an image and make a print, and that the printer can produce up to 100 prints on a single charge.

A new Video Print feature allows the Mini Link app to scan your videos frame-by-frame to produce prints of individual moments.

A Party Print function allows you to connect up to five smartphones to the Mini Link app and combine an image from each device into one collage print.

What’s more, you can also use the Instax Mini Link as a remote control for your smartphone camera. Zoom in by facing the printer down, or zoom back out by facing it up. Pressing the power button triggers the shutter.

The Fujifilm Instax Mini Link price tag is $99.95, with a release date set for 4 October. You can buy the Instax Mini Link at retailers such as Adorama or Wex Photo Video.
