Fujifilm unveils Fujinon XF33mm F1.4 R LM WR

News

Fujifilm has announced the Fujinon XF33mm F1.4 R LM WR, price tag £699 / $799, a new fast-aperture prime lens promising lightning fast focus in just 0.04secs.

Like the XF23mm F1.4 also announced today, the Fujinon XF33mm F1.4 R LM WR is one of what Fujifilm is calling a next generation of large-aperture prime lenses that are future-proof in their design to be able to work with larger resolution sensors to come.

Powering the Fujinon XF33mm F1.4 R LM WR is an Inner Focus system which keeps the movements of the focusing lens group to a minimum in order to attain focus in just 0.04secs.

The new Fujifilm lens consists of 15 elements in 10 groups, of which there are two aspherical elements and three ED elements.

Meanwhile, the Fujinon XF33mm F1.4 R LM WR’s fast aperture makes it ideal for low-light conditions or for capturing bokeh and shallow depth of field effects.

The Fujinon XF33mm F1.4 R LM WR is also lightweight, weighing just 360g and measuring 73.5mm long. What’s more, the lens has been weather-sealed in 11 locations and can be used in temperatures as low as -10C.

The new Fujinon XF33mm F1.4 R LM WR release date will be in late September 2021.
