Fujifilm has announced its latest instant camera, introducing the Install Mini LiPlay, price tag $159.95.

Fujifilm’s new Instax camera becomes its smallest in the range and introduces both audio capture and the option to capture digital images, which you can transfer to your phone via a new Mini LiPlay companion app.

The Instax range has been a big earner for Fujifilm, and the Mini LiPlay tweaks the design somewhat by removing the viewfinder and introducing a 2.7-inch LCD screen.

Inside is a small 1/5-inch CMOS sensor for capturing simultaneous digital images. The sensor captures 2560 x 1920-pixel images, and there’s also a microSD card slot where you can store them should you not want to transfer them via Bluetooth.

Perhaps the most interesting feature of the new Instax Mini LiPlay is a small mic button built in to the front of the camera. When pressed, the Instax Mini LiPlay will record up to 10secs of audio.

The Mini LiPlay then converts this audio file to a QR code and prints this on the corner of your image. When you scan it with your phone you can then hear the audio while viewing your print.

You can pre-order the Fujifilm Instax Mini LiPlay and Instax Mini Confetti instant film at B&H Photo Video.
