News

Fujifilm has announced the XF10 – price tag £449 – a new travel size premium compact camera with a release date set for August.

The pocket-size Fuji XF10 boasts a 24.2-megapixel APS-C sensor. The sensor in the XF10 isn’t an X-Trans sensor design like Fujifilm’s higher-end X series cameras; instead it features a standard bayer array.

The Fujifilm XF10 replaces the Fuji X70 and features a fixed 18.5mm f/2.8 Fujinon wide-angle lens that offers an equivalent focal length of 28mm in 35mm terms.

What’s more, the XF10 boasts a Digital Teleconverter that lets you shoot images at equivalent focal lengths of 35mm and 50mm.

In terms of video, the XF10 can record 4K at 15p and it offers a native ISO range of 100 to 51,200.

On the back of the Fuji XF10 is a 3-inch touchscreen.

Other interesting features include a Square Mode, which lets you shoot images with a 1:1 aspect ratio. The XF10 also offers 11 Film Simulation Modes and 19 Advanced Filters, including two new ones: Rich & Fine, which renders brighter and more vivid color at the centre of the frame with slight shadows at the corners, to emphasize the subject, and Monochrome [NIR], which simulates infrared shots.
