Another reinvention of a classic German lens is hitting Kickstarter, with the Emil Busch Glaukar 3.1 lens launching a crowdfunding campaign.

The Emil Busch Glaukar 3.1 is priced $749 if purchased during its crowdfunding campaign, and it will be available in Fuji X, Sony E, Canon, Nikon, Micro Four Thirds and Leica mounts.

The new Emil Busch Glaukar 3.1 will boast the same brass body and shape as its predecessor. The body will actually consist of a high-end aluminium with a brass-like oxidation, the company says.

Inside it will feature 12 aperture blades, with an image circle of 43mm.

The Emil Busch Glaukar 3.1 follows successful crowdfunding campaigns from the likes of Meyer Optik and others, which have made modern versions of old, classic lenses.
