Calling all UK media and photography students, EIZO has just announced the start of their “EIZO Awards’.

The competition was created to showcase student talent as a springboard before they start their careers. The compitition covers all areas of photography such as fashion and commercial.

Aside for the prestige of winning the competition, the winner will be awarded an EIZO ColorEdge monitor and placement with a world-renowned photographer.

This is the third year for the competition, and the judging panel will feature a panel of UK based professional photographers including:

Nick Ballón – London based documentary and portrait photographer Benedict Redgrove – an award-winning photographer whose portfolio includes BMW, Red Bull Racing and British Airways.

In total there will be three winners chosen by the judges. Annabel Lake a previous winner (2017-2018) and student of Central St Martins in London commented:

“Entering the EIZO Award allowed me to work on a live brief and direct my project, something that will be crucial in my development as a professional. My entry commemorated one year of the passing of my grandad, who would have been married to my grandma for 60 years, so creating something to celebrate the love they shared was special to me.

“I’d encourage this year’s entrants to focus on the narrative and the story they’re trying to tell. Sometimes keeping it simple is best to let your passion come through.”

If you’re interested in taking part, then Universities and students can download details on how to enter here.

Entries will be accepted throughout November and judging will commence in November 2019 with the winners announced in May 2019.
