The Pink Lady® Food Photographer of the Year Award 2021 is now open for submissions. To mark the start of the 10th year of the competition, we spoke to Donna Crous who credits the awards with kickstarting her photography career.
Donna was working as a food blogger when on the spur of the moment she decided to enter the 2017 competition. To her surprise, her image came third in the Food Blogger category. Since that early success, Donna has entered every year and she’s been a finalist each time. In 2019, she was also shortlisted in the Stylist category.
In the video below, recorded via Zoom, Donna explains how the competition moved her career in a new direction and helped her shift her photography up a gear.
