DJI has launched the Zenmuse V1, a new high-performance visual sensor designed to meet the growing demands of drone-based inspection, surveillance, and public safety operations. Designed for seamless integration with the DJI Matrice 350 RTK, the Zenmuse V1 combines three advanced imaging systems into one compact payload, offering versatility and precision in a wide range of professional applications.

At the heart of the Zenmuse V1 is a powerful trio of sensors: a 48MP wide-angle camera with a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor, a 25× hybrid zoom camera featuring a 1/2-inch CMOS sensor, and an industry-grade thermal camera with 640×512 resolution and a 13 mm lens. Together, these modules allow operators to capture high-resolution visible and thermal imagery, offering enhanced situational awareness whether monitoring infrastructure, responding to emergencies, or patrolling urban areas.

The Zenmuse V1 also features laser range finding capability, enabling precise distance measurement up to 1,200 metres, which is particularly useful during inspections of high-risk or hard-to-access structures. The system supports smart functions like pinpointing, AI recognition, and subject tracking, making it suitable for complex operational environments where efficiency and accuracy are paramount.

Despite its powerful feature set, the Zenmuse V1 weighs only 920 grams and is IP54 rated for dust and water resistance, ensuring reliable performance even in harsh conditions. The camera is also fully compatible with DJI’s Pilot 2 software, streamlining mission planning and real-time data collection.

Targeted at users in energy, transportation, emergency services, and law enforcement, the Zenmuse V1 strengthens DJI’s position as a leader in enterprise drone imaging solutions. Its blend of zoom, thermal, and wide-angle imaging offers professionals the flexibility to adapt to dynamic aerial scenarios with confidence and clarity.
