DJI has announced the Osmo Mobile 7 series, the latest of the company’s smartphone gimbals, featuring seventh-generation stabilisation and the brand-new ActiveTrack 7.0 technology. Designed for content creators, vloggers, and smartphone filmmakers, the Osmo Mobile 7 series enhances mobile videography with superior tracking, quick setup, and intelligent controls.
The series consists of two models: Osmo Mobile 7 and Osmo Mobile 7P. While both offer three-axis stabilisation, quick unfolding, and a built-in tripod, the Osmo Mobile 7P adds an integrated extension rod and an advanced multifunctional module for enhanced subject tracking, audio, and lighting controls.
One of the standout features of the Osmo Mobile 7P is its multifunctional module, which enhances native camera app tracking, live streaming, and video conferencing. It also doubles as a wireless microphone receiver when paired with the DJI Mic Mini.
Both gimbals come equipped with ActiveTrack 7.0, DJI’s most advanced tracking system yet. This allows the gimbal to lock onto subjects in dynamic environments, making it ideal for vloggers, travellers, and action-packed scenarios. The gesture-based controls enable hands-free operation, allowing users to start tracking, take photos, and adjust framing with simple hand gestures.
With quick one-step unfolding and storage, setting up the Osmo Mobile 7 series is faster than ever. The gimbal is compact and lightweight, weighing approximately 300 g for the Osmo Mobile 7 and 368 g for the Osmo Mobile 7P. It also includes a side wheel for smooth zoom and manual focus adjustments, offering more creative flexibility.
The Osmo Mobile 7P further enhances usability with integrated lighting, featuring four brightness levels and adjustable colour temperatures ranging from 2500K to 6500K.
