DJI has announced the Matrice 600 Pro, a new addition to its range of large drones aimed at professional users.

The DJI Matrice 600 Pro promises an improved battery charging system and better flight performance, DJI says, as well as enhanced loading capacity for cinema cameras and industrial equipment.

The DJI M600 Pro offers an A3 Pro flight controller with triple modular redundancy and diagnostic algorithms that cross-reference sensor data from three sets of GNSS units, the company says.

What’s more, the Matrice 600 Pro’s GNSS helps the A3 Pro withstand magnetic interference and give users “centimeter-level accuracy,” DJI says.

This helps give users of the M600 Pro more precise control when operating the drone, DJI says.

The company has also added vibration damping balls to the flight controller’s redundant IMU module and main controller, which helps the Matrice 600 Pro absorb more shake and better reduce noise, DJI says.

The Matrice 600 Pro also comes with an updated battery charging hub, enabling users to charge the six intelligent batteries at the same time and reducing overall charging time.

A new E2000 Pro dustproof propulsion system means less complex maintenance of the M600 Pro, DJI says, and improved active cooling motors enable you to fly the new drone for longer periods of time.

The M600 Pro is compatible with DJI’s Zenmuse camera series, the Ronin-MX gimbal and DJI Focus, and supports a payload of 6kg. In real terms, this means it can carry cameras ranging from Micro Four Thirds systems to the RED EPIC.

DJI says the M600 Pro hcomes with pre-installed arms and antennas, making it easier to transport. And when folded, the platform is smaller than the standard M600.

DJI M600 Pro price information was not available at the time of writing.
