In one of the more interesting testing procedures we’ve seen so far with the DJI Mavic Pro, Youtuber My First Drone tested the Mavic Pro vs the Phantom 4 in high winds generated by a leaf blower.
The test was done to see how well the DJI Mavic Pro held its position against the Phantom 4 in the 250mph wind stream from a common leaf blower. While one looks to be slightly better, it’s pretty amazing how stable both remain.
Next, the test compares digital sharpening in images and tests both DJI drones for low light photography performance.
The conclusion? My First Drone says: “Both drones do pretty good in high winds but the Phantom looks a bit better because of the wider field of view.
“The Phantom looks slightly better in low light. Digital sharpening on the Phantom is too high and digital sharpening on the Mavic is too low, but adding some sharpness to the Mavic in post yields results that look as good as the Phantom without as many sharpening artefacts.”
