Detu has launched a new 360 camera aimed at professionals, introducing the Detu F4 Plus, which offers 8K resolution at 30fps.
The Detu F4 Plus employs four lenses that offer fields of view of 200 degrees to provide a fully spherical image.
The Detu F4 Plus also uses four Sony IMX117 CMOS sensors offering 12-megapixel resolution. This is the same sensor found in the GoPro Hero4 Black.
Other features include live streaming functionality via ethernet connection and dual band WiFi capability.
Noth much else is known yet about the Detu F4 Plus, which made its debut as a development product at IFA in Berlin last week.
The current Detu F4, however, offers a battery life of 180 minutes video recording and weighs just 670g, so we can probably assume the F4 Plus will either match or exceed these values.
Detu F4 Plus price information isn’t yet known. We’ll update as more information becomes available.
