Shipments of new cameras plunged by nearly 30% in January 2018, according to new figures released by the Camera & Imaging Products Association (CIPA).
The Japan-based organisation, which tracks sales and shipment figures for the imaging industry, shows 1,340,492 units shipped in January 2018.
This clocks in well below the 1.87m and 1.9m figures for the same periods in 2017 and 2016, respectively.
