Build and Handling
We tend to think of travel-zoom lenses being a bit ‘low-end’, but the Canon RF 24-240mm F4-6.3 IS USM feels anything but. It weighs 750g, which feels just about right for its size. The knurled focus/control ring also has a high-quality feel with lovely tension.
Meanwhile, the lockable zoom ring rotates through 100-degrees, so you can zoom quickly from one end of the focal length range to the other.
Early Verdict
Although I’ve been able to shoot with the Canon RF 24-240mm F4-6.3 IS USM, it was an early sample and I’m not able to share any images here. However, I’m impressed with the build quality of the lens. It feels like a decent quality optic, and the results I saw on the back of the camera looked to match.
I’ll update this first look-review once I’ve been able to examine some images.
