According to a report on Canon Rumors, Canon has registered the product code DS126631 for the EOS 6D Mark II, which will feature built-in WiFi and Bluetooth capability.

The Canon EOS Rebel SL2 has been registered under code DS126671, which will also apparently feature WiFi and Bluetooth capability.

I eagerly awaited this announcement for a very long time. Couldn’t wait any longer so I finally purchased a 6D a year ago. It’s still in mint condition and serves my needs. I would have preferred the articulating screen of the 60D that I upgraded from, but I’m content with the 6D as it is. The new body is likely going to cause many to upgrade and I may, over time, jump on board…

It will be interesting to see what specification Canon opts for with the 6D Mark II. If the resolution matches the 5D Mark IV and there’s 4K video capability along with a vari-angle screen it could prove a very popular choice. Fingers crossed.
