Canon has announced the PowerShot G5 X Mark II, price tag £849.99/€999.99, which features a new fixed 5x f/1.8-2.8 lens and a pop-up EVF.
Inside the Canon PowerShot G5 X Mark II is the same 20.1-megapixel sensor as found in the G7 X Mark III, also launched today. And while the 0.39 type, 2,360,000-dot OLED EVF is the same found in the G5 X, offering 100% coverage, this version sits with the body of the G5 X Mark II.
The PowerShot G5 X Mark II also features a 5x fixed 8.8-44mm f/1.8-2.8 lens, which is equivalent to 24-120mm on a full-frame camera.
Like the G7 X Mark III, the PowerShot G5 X Mark II can shoot 4K video without cropping, 120fps in Full HD and also matches the G7 X Mark III in shooting at up to 30fps in RAW Burst Mode for up to 70 images. It can also shoot at 20fps for up to 89 C-RAW images, 55 RAW images or 118 frames in JPEGs.
