Canon has announced a new compact, multi-purpose camera designed for industrial use, the Canon ML-105 EF, which is designed for use in extreme low light.

The Canon ML-105 EF boasts a 2.07-megapixel full-frame CMOS sensor and offers a maximum ISO of 4,000,000. This enables the camera to capture subjects illuminated with less than 0.0005 lux.

The Canon ML-105 EF weighs just 800g and measures 76 x 76 x 112mm. Its body design is also dust, shock, vibration and water resistant.

Despite its compact design, the Canon ML-105 EF can support Canon’s EF super telephoto lenses, among Canon’s whole range of EF lenses.

The Canon ML-105 EF can also record Full HD video.

The Canon ML-105 EF joins Canon’s range of multi-purpose cameras, which includes the ML-100 EF, ML-100 M58 and ML-105 M58.
