Canon Japan will release the Mini Project M-i1 which can connect to select Canon cameras via their WiFI connection and play videos and images, priced $273.

The Canon Mini Projector M-i1 will be compatible with the Canon EOS M6, Canon EOS M100, Canon EOS 6D Mark II and PowerShot SX 730 HS, according to Canon Japan.

The Canon Mini Projector M-i1 is small, measuring just 105 x 105 x 22mm and weighing 235g yet boasts a projection range from 0.5m (equivalent to a 14in screen) to 3m (roughly 84in screen) in full HD resolution.

The Canon M-i1 uses an LED light source with a service life of about 10,000 hours

Canon says its Mini Projector can project video by reading out data stored in the embedded memory or a USB memory stick by operating the touch pad.

The M-i1’s built-in battery lasts up to two hours, and it can be used as a mobile battery for charging a smartphone, as well.
