Canon has announced the IVY REC, price £119.99 / €129.99, new wearable activity camera that is waterproof and shockproof.
The Canon IVY REC clips to a belt or bag and weighs just 90g. The IVY REC is waterproof down to depths of 2 metres for up to 30 minutes. It is also shockproof from heights up to 2 metres.
What’s more, the IVY REC’s clip doubles as a viewfinder.
Inside the IVY REC is a 13-megapixel sensor that can record Full HD video at up to 60fps. It also features built-in WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity for sharing your videos and images.
You can use this connectivity to control the IVY REC remotely using the Canon Mini Cam app, which is available for both iOS and Android devices.
Priced at £119.99 / €129.99, the Canon IVY REC is part of the Canon Zoemini range of cameras aimed at the younger generation. It is available in Dragon fruit (Pink), Avocado (Green), Stone (Grey) and Riptide (Blue).
