Canon has expanded its API and Software Development Kits to support the PowerShot SX70 HS, enabling users to create bespoke applications for their cameras.
The PowerShot SX70 HS joins a range of select Canon cameras that users can program to create applications that communicate directly with the camera.
For instance, users might create applications for automated units, photo booths or mass portrait shoots.
The SDK can also be used to create apps to connect or disconnect the camera, change camera settings, format memory cards or download and erase images.
The SDK also allows users to control their Canon camera remotely from a Mac or PC.
