The Canon EOS M5, the company’s new flagship mirrorless camera, is now available in stores, the company has announced.

The CSC that Canon describes as “the perfect companion for photography enthusiasts” can be used with 7 EF-M lenses as well as more 80 EF lenses when using Canon’s EF-EOS M Mount Adapter.

Canon says it will ship the Adapter with the EOS M5 for a limited time only.

The APS-C-format EOS M5 offers a 24.2-megapixel CMOS sensor and Canon’s DIGIC 7 processor, as well as built-in Wi-Fi and NFC functions.

The EOS M5 price tag is £1,049.99/€1,299.99 body only or paired with the EF-M 15-45mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM zoom lens it is priced £1,149.99/€1,499.99.

From December, the camera will also be available with the new EF-M 18-150mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM lens at £1,399.99/ €1,799.99.
