Flickr has revealed its list of the best photos of 2017, as determined by an algorithm that measures engagement.
To make its list of the best photos of 2017 the photo sharing website used an algorithm that could measure the number of social and engagement metrics for each image, as well as how many times it was viewed and favourited.
From this list of raw data, Flickr’s staff then curated the top 25, which it has published in the gallery below.
What’s more, Flickr says that a number of the photographers behind these ‘best photos’ have ranked in previous years’ lists.
