Benro has announced the GH5C, a new carbon fibre gimbal head that promises ‘weightless’ movements, which is aimed at wildlife and sports photographers.

Designed for both DSLR and mirrorless systems, the Benro GH5C weighs just 1.1kg and can support a payload of 30kg. The Benro GH5C replaces the previous GH2C model, and with its full carbon fibre construction weighs some 200g lighter.

The GH5C features an Arca-compatible quick release plate, and Benro says when mounted with long lenses users can pan and tilt with just the push of one finger.

When the right angle is achieved, simply remove your finger and the gimbal will stay where it is, Benro says.

The new Benro gimbal head also comes with a 3 year warranty as standard – which can be extended to 5 years (free of charge) once the product is registered.
