Atomos has officially launched the TX-RX, a versatile new wireless video transmission system designed to meet the demands of modern film and video production workflows. Announced during NAB Show 2025 in Las Vegas, the Atomos TX-RX combines 4K video clarity with real-time transmission across HDMI and SDI, offering a powerful solution for cinematographers, directors, and content creators looking for freedom and flexibility on set.

TX-RX enables wireless monitoring of 4Kp30 video via HDMI and 1080p60 via SDI over 5G Wi-Fi, with impressively low latency down to 0.06 seconds and a maximum range of up to 300 metres (985 feet). It’s ideal for transmitting camera feeds to monitors, tablets, or smartphones—making it a practical tool whether you’re shooting solo or managing a full production crew.

The system includes a transmitter and receiver set, with support for up to four receivers per transmitter. This makes it easy to set up multi-monitor workflows without the need for cumbersome cabling. Its compatibility with both SDI and HDMI equipment ensures seamless integration into a wide variety of setups, from DSLRs to broadcast rigs.

Compact and rugged, TX-RX is built to handle tough shooting environments without adding bulk. The receiver features dual output ports, while power options are broad and flexible—including DC input (9–16V), USB-C, and standard NP-F batteries.

Atomos COO Peter Barber commented, “Our customers wanted a reliable, plug-and-play wireless video solution, and TX-RX delivers just that. It pairs brilliantly with our Ninja, Shogun, and Sumo monitors, while also supporting direct wireless viewing on mobile devices.”

The system supports real-time monitoring on Android or iOS, allowing directors or clients to watch footage live from anywhere on set. TX-RX also fits neatly into the broader Atomos ecosystem, offering a seamless link between camera, recorder, and monitor.
