Atomos has released new firmware updates for the Ninja V that adds new raw video recording capabilities for the Fujifilm GFX100 and Sigma fp cameras.
The Atomos Ninja V update now enables Apple ProRes Raw video recording over rHDMI with the Sigma fp at 4k DCI p24 or 4k UHD up to p30 directly from the camera’s full-frame sensor.
What’s more, the Sigma fp will be able to record Raw over HDMI in HD at up to 120fps, the first for any mirrorless camera.
The Ninja V can also record 422 ProRes and DNx video up to 4Kp29.94 and 120p119.88 from the standard 8-bit HDMI output of the SIGMA fp.
The new Atomos update also enables the Ninja V to record large format 12-bit 4K ProRes Raw recording with the mirrorless medium format Fujifilm GFX100.
The Ninja V will record up to 4K 30p 12-bit Apple ProRes RAW video, making it the first commercial medium format camera capable of raw video recording.
As an alternative to RAW, the Ninja V can also record 10-bit 422 ProRes and DNx video up to 4Kp60 from the HDMI output of the GFX100.
